Sound Studios 1: SS Mictlán

The Virtuist’s inaugural Sound Studio is open for business! SS Mictlán is a boutique production space, tucked away in an Eastside Bakersfield basement and outfitted with the highest-grade professional recording gear. The studio is powered by UA Apollo interfaces through Logic and iZotope’s Music Production Suite. Available gear includes:

  • Arturia Keylab 88 mkII with Analog Lab V;

  • virtual amplifiers via Amplitube 5 Max (with collections from Fender, Orange, Fulltone, Leslie, Mesa/Boogie, and Ampeg);

  • live amplifiers by Orange, Blackstar, and Acoustic;

  • virtual drums via Addictive Drums 2 (with collections from DW, Gretsch, Ludwig, Pork Pie, and Yamaha); and

  • live drums by Sonor and Yamaha.

SS Mictlán is currently in incubation mode and exclusively producing music for artists on the Virtuist label. Please contact us with any inquiries about joining the Virtuist artist roster.
